Disability Services

At Community First Step, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live independently, connect with others, and reach their personal goals.

If you or your loved one is living with a disability, we’re here to help make that possible.

We’re a registered NDIS provider offering flexible, person-centred supports tailored to your needs. Whether it’s daily living assistance, community access, or support coordination, we’ll work with you to build the right plan, on your terms.

What is the NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding to people with permanent and significant disability so they can access the support and services they need.

Supporting your needs

01

Individual Plans

Your plan is unique and personalised to you so we can help you work towards your goals and aspirations. Every plan aims to promote and support your independence.

We’ll offer guidance and assistance and work closely with you, your carers or family members to offer direction. Your plan is flexible; changing with your progress and needs; helping to identify skills and strengths.

02

Life Choices

We want to strengthen your ability to manage your supports. This includes building your financial and organisational skills, as well as improving your ability to direct your supports and developing your ability to manage your supports yourself.

Our team is here to help you develop the skills needed to manage your own plans in the future, if that's achievable.

03

Community Participation

We support participation in community activities that will help to:

  • Maintain and develop life skills to increase independence.

  • Continue learning and participating in leisure, recreational, social and cultural activities.

  • Have active, inclusive and valued roles in the community.

  • Expand friendships and support networks.

04

School Leavers

At Community First Step, we are dedicated to making your transition from school to adult life smooth and successful. We will help you develop essential life skills for greater independence, and will also encourage your participation in various educational, recreational, and cultural activities to enrich your personal growth and well-being
