JOIN OUR YOUTH ADVISORY GROUP AND HELP US MAKE A POSITIVE IMPACT

Are you aged 16-24? Live in Southwest Sydney? Passionate about making a positive impact in the community? ... Then read on! ​

​We are looking for 8 young people to be part of our Youth Advisory Group at Community First Step. 

No experience is necessary before applying. As a young person living in South West Sydney, YOU ARE AN EXPERT in understanding the challenges and opportunities that exist within the community. 

Your role would be to share your ideas and provide input on ways that Community First Step can best serve the community of Southwest Sydney. 

About Community First Step

With a rich history spanning over 50 years, Community First Step is a non-for-profit organisation dedicated to empowering the communities of South West Sydney to overcome personal, social, and economic challenges by delivering inclusive and innovative programs tailored to the needs of our communities.

Our Youth Services ensure young people are heard, supported, and encouraged through a range of recreational and educational activities, support groups, workshops, and case management. With expertise in social and mental health issues, we provide tailored support for their unique needs. Our other Community Services include case management, form filling assistance, multicultural support groups and classes, parenting programs, digital literacy programs, and school readiness initiatives, helping individuals and families access essential resources and thrive.

What’s the commitment?

Be able to meet every second month at the Fairfield Youth & Community Centre from 5:00 to 6:30pm.

 

Dinner will be provided at the meetings!
