CFS is a growing organisation that provides children, youth and family services in the form of community development, case work, psychosocial and educational programs, disability services and children's services based in the South-West Sydney.

About this opportunity:
 

This role requires proactive, driven, and innovative people with experience in Disability and / or Community Services sectors. You will be someone who is willing to adapt and be flexible to ensure your role has maximum impact within CFS.

Reporting to the Head of Disability Services you will be responsible for providing person-centred support to people with disabilities; support aimed at maximising living, social and recreational skills of people with a disability and focusing on ensuring community inclusion, independence, decision making, personal choice and that CFS clients’ individual needs are met.


About you:

You will bring to this role a background in the disability or community services sectors and the following attributes and skills:

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in the Disability or Community sectors and relevant qualifications.

  • Knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Quality Standards and Principles.

  • A current NDIS Worker Screening Check.

  • Valid Working with Children Check.

  • Excellent communication skills with the capacity to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

  • The ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Ability to implement NDIS client plans.

  • Experience working with challenging behaviours, providing personal care and undertaking domestic duties.

These are casual positions under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services (SCHADS) Industry Award, commencing at Level 1, Pay Point 3, $32.73 per hour plus super, where applicable. As a not-for-profit, CFS also offers alary packaging.
