Andrew AmerAndrew Amer BA MSc MBA FAICD. Non-executive Director

Andrew joined the Board on 26 April 2016 and has extensive senior management and Board experience in the services, industrial and resource sectors across Australia and Asia. He was a Member of the AICD NSW Council and AICD Law Committee for three terms and is currently a Member of the Professional Conduct Tribunal of the ICAANZ.

Prior to becoming a director Andrew held management roles including Managing Director Amoco Australia, Group Manager Strategy and Marketing Suncorp, General Manager Service Development Myer Grace Bros., and Senior Management Consultant in Strategy, Organisational Restructuring and Marketing PwC working on some of Australia’s largest companies including BHP and Coles Myer.

Skills include business management, strategy and marketing, organisational restructuring, service quality and performance improvement, and corporate governance.

Nadia CassidyNadia Cassidy AFP. Non-executive Director

 

Nadia joined the Board on 22 March 2016 and is also a Principal Executive and SME Adviser. She has a background in Economics & Finance and is currently completing her MBA. Nadia has over twenty years’ professional experience and specialises in business advice, gender diversity in leadership and mentoring of female financial services professionals. She is an advocate for financial literacy in the not-for-profit sector with special interests in domestic & family violence and philanthropic fundraising.

Skills include: strategic planning, risk management, succession planning, financial management, business development and stakeholder management.

Rebecca joined the Company in July 2016. Rebecca is an Australian qualified lawyer with extensive experience in corporate, commercial and resources law.  She has broad experience in global markets, having provided legal and stakeholder engagement support to global corporations in Australia, Africa, South America and PNG.  She also has experience in the implementation and management of compliance frameworks to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, contractual obligations and ethical standards.

Rebecca has strong communication, negotiation and leadership skills with demonstrated ability to accept challenges, use initiative and complete projects on time to achieve business objectives.

Jason CummingsJason Cummings BSc PGCE MEd. Chief Executive Officer

Jason became CEO on 25th July 2016, bringing 20 years’ experience in Education, Health and Community Development, encompassing diverse roles such as youth worker, group leader, Board member, Manager and CEO.

His recent experience includes being CEO at Childrenfirst, a leading provider of inclusion support services, health services (Speech and OT) and early childhood education in Western Sydney, as well as lecturing at Charles Sturt University, where he designed and taught programs in Classroom and Behaviour Management and Early Childhood Development.

Jason has strong management, governance, staff development, community development and early childhood development skills as well as being a noted public speaker and presenter.

Matthew DayMatthew Day BSc (Hons) CGMA GAICD. Non-executive Director

Matthew joined the Board on 26 April 2016 and is also Chief Operating Officer of Healthdirect Australia.  Healthdirect play a leading role in Australia’s healthcare landscape by designing and delivering high quality telehealth, online and e-health services across the nation.

Matthew has a history including sales, engineering and financial positions, predominantly in the IT sector. His career with CSC included 5 years as Australian CFO and 5 years managing customer relationships and sales, including setting up the local Healthcare practice in 2007.  Matthew spent two years as Regional President, Asia Pacific at Ventyx, a supplier of enterprise software and services to major infrastructure businesses and developed and executed the company’s expansion in China.

Skills include business management, strategy, leadership and change management, customer relationship management and business development.

Derek joined the New Revenue Committee in June 2016 as a volunteer, he has a background in industry associations as well as experience in litigation, property and consumer law with a keen interest in the welfare of young people, particularly in Western Sydney. He is Legal Support Officer of three combined industry associations which collectively represents the interests of 720 businesses throughout NSW.

His skills include advocacy, governance, legal analysis, mediation, management, customer service and dispute resolution.

David joined the Board on 22 March 2016 and is also a principal of Finncorn Consulting, offering strategic and financial advice to large corporate clients.  A graduate of the AICD’s Company Directors Course, the IESE MBA programme in Barcelona and the University of Adelaide, he also serves on the Board of Shaun Parker & Co, an innovative contemporary dance company based in Sydney, and is a past Director of Scallop Credit Union.  Mr Heard’s career has included project management, financial, marketing and business development roles with Shell, Macquarie Group, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Schroders.

Sue joined the Board on 4 April 2005. Sue is an actuary and independent investor with extensive experience in financial management, banking, reinsurance, actuarial education and project management. Prior to becoming a director Sue has held a variety of roles with companies such as Zurich Financial Services, BT Financial Group, Westpac, Swiss Re and been involved in the professional education program of the Actuaries Institute.

Danny joined the Board on 27 May 2013. Danny is an experienced project manager and consultant specialising in IT and infrastructure. He is currently a Director of Periters Group, a management consultancy firm. Previous experience includes management roles at Interlink Roads, Michael Page International, Caravel Group and Telstra. Danny is also a member of the Australian Lebanese Chamber of Commerce.

David joined the Board on 20 March 2017. A qualified economist and lawyer, David has experience in the education, law enforcement, military, government, not-for-profit, and small business environments. He is currently completing his PhD examining business power and economic policy at UNSW Australia. Professionally, David serves as a Captain in the Australian Army Reserve, and was a Federal Agent in the Australian Federal Police where he investigated organised crime, corruption and terrorism. David is also the Founder of Youth Pathways Network, a voluntary organisation helping to fight youth unemployment and crime in Western Sydney.

David’s skills include policy research and analysis, operations management, project management, risk management, strategic planning, community engagement, marketing, and leadership.
